Sailing Club Building Starts

April/May 2016 is a key time for the Torbay Sailing Club as the existing 50 year old clubhouse is in the process of being demolished to make way for the the new clubrooms in preparation for the 2016/17 season. The new clubrooms have been designed by club member Tymen Tolsma from Stephensen and Turner and mark a significant upgrade in design and functionality. Photos of proposed building are available on this site. It is a new era for the club and makes for exciting times as we move forward in such a positive way.
The plan is to have the new club house up and running in time for the Sir Peter Blake Regatta in December – Even if it is slightly unfinished inside.
